How to use Text Recruiting to Schedule Interviews from a Chrome Extension

GoHire makes it simple to engage, communicate and even schedule pre-screening calls, or interviews, all from  your existing job boards, ATS, CRM, or another recruiting or HR platforms.

In this article, we’ll show you how to install the GoHire Chrome Extension and then capture a candidates contact information and send them a text message to schedule an interview.

Of course, there are lots of variations of this, because we can also send additional customized messages:
* Ask the candidate if they are interested and available.
* Ask the candidate a couple of pre-screening “screen-in” questions.
* Send a link to completing the next step in the process.

Installing the GoHire Chrome Extension

Step 1. Use this link to open the GoHire text recruiting extension on the Chrome Extension store.

Step 2. Click the “Add to Chrome” blue button.

Step 3. Click the “Puzzle piece” icon in your Chrome browser bar.

Step 4. Click the Blue Pin, to Pin the Chrome extension on your browser bar, so you can see if notifications of new inbound candidates and text messages.

Notice Chrome has inserted the GoHire “Go” icon in your Chrome Toolbar.

Step 5: Visit https://gohire.com to enable the text recruiting  Chrome Extension, and then click the “Go” icon in your browser toolbar. This should open the Chrome extension allowing you to log in.

Step 6: Once you have the GoHire Chrome extension open, enter your GoHire username and password to log in.

Step 7: Send your first text from a web page.

Once you’ve installed the extension, let’s send your first text message.

The easiest way to get started is to you can simply click the Green Send New Message button in the Upper Left corner

The chrome extension will also provide notifications so that if a candidate sends a message via text message, you’ll see a red number for the notification.
